Yesterday, whilst visiting the large JJB Sports outlet in Bangor, they had a total bargain.
Two different sized (how they allowed it to happen, goodness knows) Salomon Goretex Trail shoes, one sized 11, the other a 10.
The size 11 fitted like a glove, but the size 10 pinched my front toes.
Totally gutted, as they only wanted £15 for both shoes.
The staff member said it happens quite often, where a customer buys a pair of shoes, and because of their feet size and shape, they do not bother checking that both shoes are the same size.
Staff members are supposed to check the sizing of shoes offered a customer, but if a customer is happy with their purchase, and the shoes are paid for, nothing much is said.
It just goes to show, what insane profit margins are made on footwear.
Those trail shoes usually retail for nearly £100, but £15 was a bargain for someone with differing foot size.
