They didn't last long if they were sold for £70 as BIN was listed as £110. Nice boots those.

The seller relisted them at only £50 with free delivery and they were snapped up. Someone got themselves a mega bargain there.

I picked up this BARGAIN for £150. really pleased with myself

18. Lowe Alpine (Women’s/small) Triple Point Ceramic jacket. Hood in collar. Orange/salmon/blue. Worn twice. Laundered correctly. c/w jacket info. TPC considered to be better than Gore-Tex.

Hi johnberman,

I have a Triple Point Ceramic jacket for years. However, the silver bits in the inside lining is falling apart. I will be very happy to pay for postage for this jacket if you still have it as a replacement jacket for myself.

I would also like items 19 and 20 as well if they are still available.

Thank you.

Just been to our local once a month bookfair, three different stalls saw me picking up books 1-7 Lakeland Fells and also the Outlying Fells by Wainwright for the princely sum of a quid each.  Ok so not pristine but still in a good and very serviceable condition, well pleased as that is my next "challenge" to complete the 214 Wainwright's, only 200 to go :D.
I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel's sake.

Aldi have coolmax walking socks at £1.99. They are ankle socks so not suitable for boots. I've just done 13 miles with a pair in my walking shoes and they are pretty decent. O0

Altberg Tethera Ladies 3 Season Boots Size 5 Narrow Width Fitting - used condition. RRP for new is £199.99

Buy-It-Now Price £35 plus £10 postage. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hiking-boot-Ladies-leather-Altberg-Tethera-size-5-narrow-fit-/142435548690

They just need a good clean, polish, wax and some insoles and they'll be good for many miles.

If you're interested it would definitely be worth negotiating on the postage cost as £10 is way too high and make sure you get the box included. Royal Mail Signed For® 2nd Class insured for £50 only costs £3.90!

Yesterday, whilst visiting the large JJB Sports outlet in Bangor, they had a total bargain.
Two different sized (how they allowed it to happen, goodness knows) Salomon Goretex Trail shoes, one sized 11, the other a 10.
The size 11 fitted like a glove, but the size 10 pinched my front toes.

Totally gutted, as they only wanted £15 for both shoes.

The staff member said it happens quite often, where a customer buys a pair of shoes, and because of their feet size and shape, they do not bother checking that both shoes are the same size.

Staff members are supposed to check the sizing of shoes offered a customer, but if a customer is happy with their purchase, and the shoes are paid for, nothing much is said.

It just goes to show, what insane profit margins are made on footwear.

Those trail shoes usually retail for nearly £100, but £15 was a bargain for someone with differing foot size.

A bit of clean up and wax up and they'd be great.
If they were in size 12 I'd have them!

Bought myself a Lowe Alpine Airzone Trail 35L rucksack in black yesterday from Go - Outdoors.
Got it on price match for £48. Well pleased.
Certainly a good fit for me & really liking the air system back. Great capacity.

Thats a good price, I have been looking for the 34:45 version got one last week but it cost a lot more than that.

I have just started trail walking in the past six months, I am bewildered by the outdoor clothing / equipment  shops they all seem to be having sales and not just end of season summer stuff

Has it always been like this or just recently - I went into Blacks yesterday bought a space blanket and was promptly given a 20% discount ticket and they also have a sale on, just so happens that I was looking for some new boots so this discount has come in useful

Go outdoor sells the Alpine trek 35L for £72, so got quite a bit lobbed off. The 35:45 does look a decent rucksack as well. I never realy heard of Lowe that much until recently! Milliet do also price match and 10% off. Though it's far more long winded then Go outdoors system.
