Another cracking sunset, April, and those lilies are beautiful. I'm not familiar with those lower hills to the E of Borrowdale.


I've recently been camping with my family in the South Lakes for a week (Moss Howe farm, Witherslack - highly recommended); weather was lovely - whilst we have been away the weather has been rubbish on Orkney.

Enjoyed reading this and seeing the photos.  We did the circuit last July from Rosthwaite (where we were staying)via Dock tarn and Watendlath. It was a lovely walk and we hardly saw anyone except at Watendlath. We were up there to tackle Scafell Pike which naturally was very busy! It was also pretty dry last year.
