Watendlath tarn looks an interesting area, kind of place I would like  O0

Watendlath is nice as is Dock Tarn  O0

Another cracking sunset, April, and those lilies are beautiful. I'm not familiar with those lower hills to the E of Borrowdale.


I've recently been camping with my family in the South Lakes for a week (Moss Howe farm, Witherslack - highly recommended); weather was lovely - whilst we have been away the weather has been rubbish on Orkney. :D

Enjoyed reading this and seeing the photos.  We did the circuit last July from Rosthwaite (where we were staying)via Dock tarn and Watendlath. It was a lovely walk and we hardly saw anyone except at Watendlath. We were up there to tackle Scafell Pike which naturally was very busy! It was also pretty dry last year.
