I saw this this morning and thought "Miller Moss, never heard of it"

I did a google and it is also known as Little Lingy Hill which people might have heard of. I did this with Sooz when she was doing her Birketts, never knew it was called Miller Moss too.

As I recall it has a garden shed lashed to it - Lingy Hut.

Looking on the OS map Great Lingy Hill is 616m, Little Lingy Hill 600m and the peak to the west of GLH and north of LLH is the one marked 609m with the nearest name being Iron Crag.
Which ever it is I don't know how they have come up with calling it Miller Moss.

The 609 summit is called Little Lingy Hill although it is marked at 600 on the OS map.

I too have no idea why it is called Miller Moss

I'm sure that the hill will be exactly the same irrespective of how list makers categorise it.

Not sure why it is called Miller Moss rather than anything else, albeit that name is thereabouts on the map. It certainly had more to recommend it as a summit than the other one referred to as just Little Lingy Hill on the Hill Bagging website  ::)

That said I ticked them all off a few years ago while I was up there  :)

A 'moss' is a flat boggy area, it's quite a common name hereabouts.  Miller Moss is the bog below Great Lingy Hill, the name shouldn't really be applied to the summit.  I reckon the 609 point is the real Little Lingy Hill and OS have incorrectly applied the name to the 600 point which is just an insubstantial bump on the shoulder of Knott.  If you check OS online they're not even sure themselves!  Zoom in, then in again - talk about hedging your bets :D

Might be something to do with the famous, Jonathan Dodgson Carr...1831 left Kendal for Carlisle where he set up his own flour mill and bakery.
Although the, 'so named', Millers Moss doesn't appear to be on the Kendal to Carlisle 'Millers Way' Route/Walk, Millers Moss might have been named after him, for some romantic reason.
He also set up a flour factory in Silloth.
There's also a 'Millers Way 2' walk from Carlisle to Silloth.
