But the tents seem to be a decent distance apart.

People are different, and perhaps age has got a lot to do with it as well? Its just one report in a newspaper. I've seen worse in the last couple of weeks in one of our car parks. At least the wild campers were away from crowds, they were not queued cheek by jowl desperate to do anything to get a burger! I suspect the wild campers are the least to worry about, but of course from a newspaper point of view to 'titillate and wind up their readers' its a 'good story,' its someone to blame, great that they are young, worse than any other, etc and so on. It all depends I think about what we are all looking for, some of us want to lay blame, some of us like to blame, me, I blame the Government!  >:(
