Title: TR - Curbar Edge & Froggatt Edge
Post by: - Dave - on 20:49:01, 25/01/18
A fairly easy walk around the southern edges of the Dark Peak, splendid as the are. I got the full, waist deep in a bog experience too!

Great report and pics on your blog  O0 When you had your "small lake" adventure did you hear the sound of a drone above you? No? You must have got away with not being seen then  ;)

Awww, Dave - you should've taken a photo for our amusement  ;)

It looks like a worthwhile walk; I've been half-intending to do it for ages.

Yes, no irritating buzz of a drone or snap of a camera. I thought I'd gloss over it in the blog but where's the fun in that? Reminds me when I was up in the Lakes with Skip and ended up in a similar situation on Blea Rigg, though there were witnesses to that....

Nice write up and pictures - one of my favourite areas for a quiet, undemanding walk. We've done a few variations around there and the easy accessibility means it's a good place to take friends/family who aren't walkers per se but who are interested in getting into the outdoors.

Did you see any deer? There's a decent-sized herd of red deer up there and they can often be seen on Stoke Flat and on Big Moor/White Edge.

No, I didn't - I don't know they were there tbh. I'll keep my eyes open next time.

I agree that you get a lot of reward for minimal effort with this one

There were indeed! Mind you, it was only half-a-legful that time   :)
