A few pairs of boots have been worn out travelling along all these routes :)
Tonyk with his/her very long routes with the Alpine Pass route in Switzerland and the GR5 route in France O0
Being a bit of a Corsica-phile myself I am interested by tyreon's C to C on the island.....Calinzana to Cargese or Calinzana to Conca? and the W to E....East to West?  there could be three Randonnee routes on the island that start at the sea and finish in the sea? :)

Not really sure what people define as a long distance walk

Good question I always think of LDW walks as multi day jobbies.

The only ones I have done are GR 20 -Corsica, Gr 10-Pyrenees, Tour of Mont Blanc, have done treks in Karakoram on expeditions but they are not recognised LDW's.

West Highland Way, lots of times, in bits, all at once, with different people.
Southern Upland Way, in two stages.

Not a recognised route, but I did walk right across France from Switzerland to Brittany.

If we're counting long day walks then 2 - Welsh 3000's and Yorkshire 3 Peaks.

I'd love to do a multi day hike in the future - the only problem is that, as much as I love walking and climbing, I really don't enjoy camping.

I had hoped to walk the Welsh Glyndwrs Way this year: not enough time, and some little less energy. Aint what I used to be. Plus, not getting softer(weather considerations: I refuse to walk in consistent rain for 3 days: I give up). Moreover,I seen to now be more easily discouraged by blocked footpaths, bulls in fields, purposely(?)cattle mud swamps and gates. Defeatist? Maybe. That Austria really welcomes walkers, makes walking a pleasure. The odd farmer here blackens others and discourages ££ from the county. Shame really.

I really do salute those who report wrong doing by inconsiderate or selfish farmers practices. I guess most farmers are fine. As are walkers. The odd 1 or 2 spoil stuff for others.

The good stuff about NTs is their off grid locations and lack of 'easy accommodation'. But that can also be their curse...especially when you get a tad older and slower

Apologies for the mis-spellings and wotnot.

My lethargy in walking the Glyndwrs NT comes thru fear of consistent rain, and consistent muddy fields, misplaced or no signposts and misplaced cattle. My next concern is having to book accommodation...with limited accommodation. It has to be booked cos there's little accommodation. And...if you have booked the accommodation and you get the wrong weather well...it aint much fun. Beginning to lose the drive I'm afraid. And,it does seem that much easier and bettere weather on the continent...without the odd 'awkward' farmer. Again,I know most landowners to be equitable, but after years of fighting or fearing awkward ones,my drive has fallen, they win!

On a good day remote parts of GB are heaven. On a bad 2 days of rain and lacklustre accommodation...it's now a bus/taxi back to the car and home. It wasn't always this way!

Apologies. Again! Finished the Ickneild Way last year(?) Thus finished the Greater Ridgeway. I really wouldn't rate the Ickneild Way. The best interest of the walk was the people I met at the accommodation we stayed at. Parts of the way ok,but pedestrian.

Walking thru Luton was an experience! Wottadump! Apologies to Luton.
