The simple answer is to simply avoid venturing out in such hot conditions.


True.  But, for the unfortunate amongst us that are still young enough to work, we can't always pick and choose our walking days to suit the weather conditions and have to make do with whatever the weekend's 48 hours of freedom gives us  :)




Its the cruel heat and high humidity that will lead to dehydration for the unprepared.

I headed out on Dartmoor at 5:15am, got home by 10 after a lovely cool mornings walking.  Must do that more often. This afternoon it is too muggy to even venture into the garden.
