Want to ascend Snowdon from Llanberis but avoid the crowds? It's possible. On this walk, I used the ridge that runs up to Llechog with the Llanberis path down below. I was pleasantly surprised by how few walkers were using this route as it seems obvious on a map. It brings the walk a much 'airier' feel, not to mention great views looking down into the Llanberis Pass. I returned along the ridge of Moel Cynghorion, Foel Goch, and Moel Eilio. From the time I got up onto the summit of Moel Cynghorionto the time I'd descended Moel Eilio, I'd passed a grand total of 2 walkers. A lovely route.

Very good Harry, myself and swmbo are back in Snowdonia in November for a long weekend, our 4th visit this year, but staying in Tanygrisiau so it’s Moelwyns again and the northern Rhinogs, really tempting to try your route though.
