Thankyou Richard and Paul.  There's plans to complete the footpath right to the summit, was supposed to be done this year but I guess will be delayed a while now.  So if you want the full 'Criffel experience' ( ! )  you may have to make it soon.

Nice shot, Brandywell - we've walked our dog through there on a number of occasions. The woods to the west are lovely too.
Thanks Paul and Richard.  The wood to the west is Cow Pasture Wood, the one to the east is Cark Shaws and to the south is Lane Park Wood.  They were a lot lovelier two years ago before the Holker Estate harvested over 3,000 tonnes of trees.  That track through Seven Acres was lined by stacks of lumber up to 15 feet high.  >:(

Lovely shot. I still find it weird going to bed on a Friday night without the promise of a walk in the hills on Saturday.

Thanks Richard, the Coniston Fells always seem to haze over whenever I have my camera with me  :)

Thanks April, I too hope it will soon be over, although I'm lucky to be able to see a wide view of the fells from How Barrow. :)
