@Glyno
Im a child of the digital photo generation im afraid ;)
My reference was aimed primarily at the snaps that most people have laying around.
The images you linked however have fantastic colour I assume most people using that sort of equipment were pro-photographers.

Some lovely old photo's there, especially like the last two of Cribyn and Pen y Fan. O0 When it comes to walking I'm a mere youngster, only took up the hobby in 2008, so it's nice to see these older photo's. :)
Current Munro tally: 78 out of 282 completed so far.

All 190 Welsh Nuttalls completed.

Thanks everyone for making me feel so welcome and for putting names to some of the photos.  I can tell you that most of the pics were taken with a Zenith SLR, a very heavy camera. Actually thinking about it, I got the Zenith for my 21st so all these photos must have been taken after then. Before then I had a 110 camera.

I have had a lot of happy times hiking in the past back in the days when I worked as a printer and could afford every weekend away. Lake District was my favourite place, then the Peak District and all the other national parks.  However I perhaps did so much over a 11 year period that it was taken for granted, not a mistake I will make again.  Certainly any future walks will get documented and filed properly. Had no work this week so been enjoying searching for wild camping walking/hiking videos.

Well there's a few things I haven't heard in years, Zenith, 110 I had both of those.  I took a half-frame camera to the Falklands, a Minolta I think, it enabled you to take 72 shots on a 36 frame 35mm film.

I also had an Olympus XA1? 35mm camera which was cracking, I bought a side mounted flash for it, it was very wee, but took great shots.  Left it in the glove box of a hire car on Guernsey  :(

Now got a couple of digital cameras and an iPhone that does everything!!!  How far we've come from the box brownie  :)

Still got a brownie in the cupboard I think. My first digital cost me £550 for a 1MP, had a few since then, last year I had a full setup of Canon 550D with 105mm Macro, 28 - 250 and a 100-500mm. Times have been tough so only had them for a few months. :(

Before I joined this forum it has been a very lonely 10 years.
Jumpers like that'll do that ;D .
I'd get some odd looks wearing my old jumpers.
