Walking holiday - France
« on: 20:33:42, 10/07/20 »
Firstly, apologies for posting another new thread lol. It's possible I'm a tad obsessive....
My mum is an avid walker, and for her 60th next year I'd like to take her away on a walking trip - maybe 3-4 days, to the north of France, around Brittany area. But I dont have £2000 laying around which is what a lot of sites are quoting.

Does anyone know of any online places that help with the booking? I don't mind self-navigating - we'll likely follow the coast - but it'd be nice to have accomodation set up in the evenings. Or do you think its a case of plotting the route and booking things myself individually?
Anyone else done a trip round there? I'd love to hear your experiences if so :)

You could start here https://www.tourismebretagne.com/selon-mes-envies/topitos/randonnees-en-itinerance-en-bretagne/

It gives suggested routes, what to see, where to eat and where to sleep.

Aye, I found that. Looks like it'll take a decent amount of planning!

Well after much browsing I have found what I hope to be a good trip! 4 days on Mont Blanc next year, guided tour with nice accom and some food. No baggage transfer though, so will be packing very light!

Reading your original post, that is a fair way from Britanny or is there a Mont Blanc there too?  Hope Mum enjoys it!

Haha, might make her walk the whole way from Brittany to Mont Blanc. Can still practice my french there at least :)
