Temporary Closures
« on: 04:13:36, 16/01/20 »
A heads up on a couple of recent walks..
Arkengarthdale(Yorkshire)
Slei Gill footpath from Arkle Town/Storthwaite Hall, avoid till March-landslide.
Walkers bridge at said Hall washed away, use the one near Arkle Beck.
Bridleway SE to Reeth has closed signs although i did see walkers on it,on my own,i didnt risk it.
Smardale Viaduct(Cumbria) Closed, apparently handrails are structurally unsafe, not that you,d need them, its wide enough, again, walkers on it,detour path in place.

The handrails on the Smardale viaduct used to sing in the wind. I hope the repairs do not stop that.  There is a bypass footpath the SE which is a good route to view the viaduct.
