I think that because Mike Hartley, whose record stood for over 30 years, included the Cheviot then all subsequent attempts probably feel that they have to too.

Sabrina is doing well, 54 minutes ahead of schedule after being a little behind earlier today. Amazing athletes these runners  O0

I see Sabrina hasn't been as fast as her ETA times since she left Crowden, not sure if she will beat her record or not  :-\

I hope she finishes before I start work. She is still amazing regardless, how anyone can keep going over that mileage and terrain is beyond me.

She's got 10 hours so she should beat her time but perhaps not the much more important deadline of April starting work.

She set out to beat her previous best time of 82 hours 19 minutes, so at 74 hours 29 minutes she certainly managed that in fairly wet conditions underfoot.  Well done.

Pretty impressive when you consider she is two hours faster than Joss Naylor was when he was at his peak and had pacers with him throughout the route, including Olympic gold medalist,Chris Brasher.

True Tony although it's a much faster route with all the slabs and more being added every year, very soon you won't even need a map and compass.
