Watched some of the London Marathon on TV yesterday. If any of you fancy a go, may I suggest you think also of the Sierre to Zinal Lauf in Switzerland, 31km mostly uphill until the final plunge down into the village, just jog it if you are not a runner. Marvellous atmosphere at the finish, I remember a meal in a huge tent after an interesting group shower. You even get a medal for just finishing.
