Those photos (here and on the blog) took my breath away, Seferix - absolutely stunning!  O0 O0

Those northwestern fells around the Newlands Valley and around the Coledale Horseshoe are my favourite walking territory in the Lakes and I can't remember the last time I saw photos that did them the justice your pictures do... Great stuff!  :)

Lovely, lovely, lovely  O0 Stunning photos Seferix, I love that area too.  Nice vid too, keep them coming  O0

Did you need any spikes or crampons on the way up? Or was the snow/ice too sparse on the rocky step bits?

Speechless.. You are a lucky bloke.. Weather is just bleak and wet and crappy here in the South and there a certainly no places to go walking that are similar to this..

Gone for a walk, back in a bit..

Spectacular photos from Catbells O0  Have you done Dale Head to Maiden Moor via High Spy? That walk is the best in the NW fells IMHO :)

Yes that is a great walk, especially if you include Hindscarth and and Robinson too!

No crampons or spikes needed on this walk, not  too bad on the way up and the sun had melted most of it on the way down so wasn't too bad. I probably would have used spikes if the snow hadn't melted.
