Great photos - I did the same route in September (with the addition of a wade over to Ullscarth) - and loved it - not the biggest fells but a fantastic day's walking.

Lovely photos and report  O0 I do like these fells, particularly Steel Fell and the wonderful view of Thirlmere  :)

I'm pleased your shoulder has got better. Snow is a funny thing, one minute soft and not slippery then the next footstep, on your backside. That has happened to me coming down Sticks Pass, soft snow covering a patch of ice and I was down  :-[
