Loch an Nid

Anyone know the best place to cross the Abhainn Loch an Nid - above or below the loch? I'm planning to bike in from Loch a Bhraoin to Lochivraon, tromp along to the loch and then head up Beinn a'Chlaidheihm.

I know you can cross it S of the Loch by an old ruin at about 084785. Not sure about North of the Loch though.
