A&B on tour!

Great stuff, love the introduction.
Camping at dusk, near water, amongst bracken, in Scotland and there were some midges, who would have thought it.

I don't know if it is true but that is supposed to have been how old soldiers softened their leather boots.

What was the metal(?) sculpture?

It is dedicated to the poet Hugh MacDiarmid, joint founder of the Scottish National Party and lover of Scotland. Hugh MacDiarmid is the pen name of one of the most famous Scottish poets, renowned for his work both in English and in the Scots language.

I googled it  :)

;D You can only be a summit slug if other people are there. During the whole day, we saw 2 people walking , nobody on the hills at all and nobody visited the summit when we were there. The next day we saw a farmer on a quad bike in the distance on the way down and 3 people on bikes in the afternoon. If you want to get away from people walk around Langholm  :)

Great video with lovely intro with great music.

Shame about the midges. Many years ago I was told that the midge season and the tourist season coincide. Presumably they like lots of fresh meat.
These boots are made for walking.... so long as the rest of my body agrees
