Walking Shoe - Recomendations for £50?
« on: 18:34:04, 11/11/17 »
I am looking for a walking shoe in the £50 region.
Something for urban, as well as very light footpaths/grass fields walking. Preferably not overally chunky big soles, which mud will stick too in the grooves.
Maybe ok for slightly warmer weather as well
Looking at the Merrell  Ridge low GTX for £55 in sport direct.
Any recomendations?

Another couple of Merrell options which may be worth considering. (NB I haven't done any price comparisons to see if they're available cheaper elsewhere.)

Out of stock in size 12 unfortunately.

I am looking to replace a pair of of Hi-Tec Figaro. They are my 2nd set & lasted many years. Really put them through a lot of abuse. Though the soles really starting to wear down & becoming slippy in wet. I can't get them anymore in UK.
So looking for some decent alternatives around the £50 mark but preferably below

Many thanks for the links. Some good ones there.
I know some people don't like Hi tec. Tho, I do find for low level and Urban walking the hi tec's fit my feet fairly well

I think Mountain Warehouse has a good enough under £50 models to view and try on.

Cheers thanks for the replies.
These don't need to be heavy duty, so might take day out at Hatfield Galleria. They got Trespass, TOG24, Sport direct, Mountain warehouse, TXMAXX, etc all under one roof!
