Keep up the good work!
What is the cut off time for people leaving Forest View?

There is no official cut off time from Byrness as it's not a full checkpoint.

Glyn has had to be taken off. Satoshi helped him and stayed until help arrived so he has been given extra time to try to finish. This race brings out the best in everyone.

That’s lovely to hear.  Tell him we’re all rooting for him when he gets to you.

Well, the first Spine race that I have followed draws to a close. They're all heroes out there, not just Jasmin and Eugeni and Eoin. Even to make the attempt takes courage, and to have the determination to plough on through and finish....congratulations to all.

Having helped out on the Spine and Challenger this year I'm planning to do the Challenger in 2020, can't be this year as clashes with my C2C  O0

I have passed the message on. He looks tired but happy he`s having a meal then off he goes again.

I watched an interview with Satoshi yesterday and he comes across as a really nice guy, very polite and good humoured.I wish him well and am sure he will be able to get to the finish as the weather on the tops looks a bit more reasonable tonight...... minus 1 and 6 mph winds. O0

There is actually Sussam. You have to leave Byrness with at least 20 hours left ie: Midday today, Saturday.

Strange, our team leader said there were only advisories there based on how fast folks were moving etc

The 'Lantern Rouge', Satoshu Funakoshi (143), arrived at Byrness at 1315, and they have let him carry on after 1h15 rest - he's now heading up into the Cheviots; a long night ahead. Hopefully he'll dig deep and make it.

That should give him enough time, hope he makes it.  There are medics at both huts and numerous safety teams up there now so he'll be watched and assessed carefully.

Ekimo Kwakami is showing a bed sign and seems to have been dropped by the pair she was with. She is at the point where you rejoin the border fence before Hut 1.
