Very interesting read. I'm always astounded that you manage to get so many walks done using public transport. I have a car and sometimes need a kick up the bum to get myself motivated.

Using public transport is usually the most tiring part of the day. I enjoy the planning aspect though, studying the maps and timetables.

A nice walk Lee, I have often done the walk from Bamford to Cutthroat Bridge then on towards Stanage Edge then into Hathersage. I see very few people but I do it in the week.

I agree with you Lee, planning with maps, bus & train timetables are part of my enjoyment. I travel mostly by train from No

ttingham to the Peaks and after a good walk and a pint in the Sheffield Tap it's great to relax on the train back home.
