Had some lovely visits to Harwood, back in the old days!
Incredible @ 5pm, feeding time for loads of Red Kites, amazing sight!

I live just a few miles from Harewood in North Leeds and we see Red Kites in the sky all the time. Yesterday I was walking the dog across a local football field and one swooped down right in front of us and landed about 3m away. There was a pile of breadcrumbs on the ground it was after much to the disgust of the crows and seagulls that were already there. We stood transfixed while this aerial battle went on, the kite making off with some bread then circling before diving in again constantly being harassed by the smaller birds. Amazing privilege to see one so close.
