Thanks IM and pleb.
IM we have the companion picture to that one, me carrying him rather than the other way round, on the wall. Interestingly in the intervening 21 years it would appear that the hair has migrated from my head to his.
pleb, I bet he's got an app which can tell you where the nearest McDonalds is.

I thought he looked like a hairier version of you !
It might be worth telling him not to put that picture on his wall (future house/flat permitting) otherwise it'll become a continuous reminder, as the years roll by, he'll be turning into you  :D

There is a McDonalds in Penrith, not sure if this is the nearest.

Thanks Ridge. For all the photos of scenery look better devoid of people it makes for a better story with selfies!

Congrats to your boy.

Excellent report and photos Mark, particularly the piggyback one on Dodd, brilliant. And congratulations to your son, I'm really pleased for him finally completing them, you must be so proud. Well done  O0

Great TR Ridge with some excellent pics along the way.

Such a momentous occasion for you all.  Congratulations once again to your son for completing 214.  So what is next... a second time around or all the outlying fells?

Well done to your son and how brilliant to have the photo of him carrying you to go alongside the one of the other way round.
I have two sons but only seem to have passed the enjoyment of hill walking on to my eldest, passed on football to the youngest.

You found it Mel. He did acknowledge that it would have been quite hard work carting a baby up particularly if he is beating you over the head all the way.

Thanks clyoung. Not that long ago I would have said that my daughter wasn't keen but she is getting more in to it. Next weekend that are both off on their Gold DofE/Queen Scout expedition.
