We left the car at Elterwater and made our way over the track past Dale Head farm down into Little Langdale to Slaters Bridge. From there we walked by Low & High Hall Garth before taking a path S'wards to High Tilberthwaite farm. From there we made our way through many disused quarries to Hodge Close for a look around. The return from Hodge Close was by way of Stang End and Wilson Place back to Elterwater for a welcome pint at the Britannia.
