Some advice on a new waterproof please.
« on: 20:49:22, 14/09/17 »
I'm looking at replacing my sprayway jacket which after many years has finally given up.

For a bit of background I've just joined the local search and rescue team, so I need something fairly tough.

I've got a Precip I'm just worried how well that would stand up.

I don't want to spend silly money as when/if I pass I'll get a Keela jacket.

I've been looking at a few Regatta one namely the Semita and the Cross Penine. Any suggestions greatful accepted.

I'm with SAR too.  We have Keela jackets and I also have the Precip.  I carry the Precip on searches as it folds down very small.  Used it for 4 years and still waterproof so if it were me I'd save your cash  O0

My cousin has the Precip waterproof and was fine in bad rain in the Lake District in June, so think your be ok with that.
Desperately trying to escape and venture in the wild outdoors...

I have the Regatta Cross Pennine 111 (in red and grey).
Very happy with it.
I doubt you will get a better waterproof walking coat for under the £60 these have been selling for.
