Porlock today trying a circular route on the SWCP via the tiny church at Culbone. Part of my cunning plan failed as the green dashed line on the OS map that runs parallel to the SWCP from the Toll House to the church doesn't exist. Come to that, the ground it was supposed to be on didn't exist either. The tide was right in too so the section up to Porlock Weir was decidedly soggy. Weatherman said it would be cooler today - he fibbed.

I'm just having some breakfast after a 4 hour nap after my night shift then heading over to Kinder Scout for an evening walk up Kinder Scout. Looking to scout out  few nice spots for the meteor shower in August

I went a circular walk from Storrington today, taking in some of the South Downs Way and some of the West Sussex Literary Trail.  My route took me through Parham deer park and I was lucky enough to see some deer    :)

Did a quick 4 mile romp from Minions to Sharp Tor and back yesterday evening.  Needed to test my troublesome hip ahead of a decision whether to do a 12 mile night walk, out to Fur Tor, Friday night.  Though I can still feel the injury slightly, there was no pain.  So decision made to go for it.  Just hope I don't end up slowing the group.

Had a 6.5 mile wander along Kinver Edge on Wednesday, able to turn it into a most interesting figure of eight route with the help of the map and some instinctive route alterations. Anyone in the Brum area have a great locality to explore from. It felt strange looking to the Clee Hills on the north horizon, and we spent sometime fantasizing about setting out towards those destinations using the terrain as it was laid out below us. Of course those routes did not quite match up with the little green dots on the maps I had printed off for our walk.

Plenty of interest linked with interesting and high quality of way.

Been a good week for walking now the weather is behaving itself again. Mrs N and I did a circular walk using the SWCP south of Hartland Quay on Tuesday, a circular on the Ridge and Valley Walk from Chumleigh yesterday (https://www.ldwa.org.uk/ldp/members/show_path.php?path_name=Little+Dart+Ridge+and+Valley+Walk) and another ad hoc circular from Bickleigh today. It has been outrageously hot and humid though, got through a fair bit of water.
