I would like to have infos about Scotland Forests.
I saw a film (scened in USA, filming location in Scotland), in which was shown a
peculiar forest: a road divided a pine forest (or spruce or other soft wood) from larch wood.
Other part of forest were amazing, with creeks and waterfalls.
A true alpine forest, not consistant with movie scenario, and a bit surprising thinking
about filming location: I thought in Scotland were just lawns and rocks...
Do anyone know a forest like that in Scotland?
How many forests are in Scotland ?
Advices for a visit? (the "best" forest, the wider wood , etc..)
Links?
the film was "The Descent" , for movie fans...
Thank you.

I believe the film was shot around Dunkeld, Perthshire in Scotland.
I can't really advise on the other questions.

I am watching at pictures on the web, spots of Dunkeld and river Braan.
The picture of waterfalls looks exactly the same of the film.
Thank you for your kind reply.

Dunkeld is my favourite place in Scotland and have just come back from Perthshire after the third time of visiting the area
Fantastic scenery, the tallest tree in Britain I believe, and everything you could want in a walk. When I sort my photos out I will try and post some for you.
