Lovely pics  O0  I went to the Peak District for the first time the weekend before last and I was well impressed, absolutely beautiful place (even in the rain)  :)

That joke is nearly as bad as one of Beefy's  ;D

I did a search on Youtube and checked out the area - the water is pretty shallow with protruding rocks.  It's a pity - it's got stunning scenery - I was just imagining going through that gorge in a Kayak.

we have seen some guys muckin a bout in a dingy further up the river where it flows faster....

The Wye is private fishing apart from one spot they allow public and they are charging £48.00 per day for that so I guess they ain't going to want canoes on there.

Canoes/kayaks are not permitted as far as I'm aware.  Chee Dale, I'm fairly sure, is one of the dales that make up part of the nature reserve areas in the Peaks.
