I was advised years ago to carry Gaffa Tape with me but I soon got out of the habit and guess what happened ?? Yup, same as, the sole came off my Hedghogs.. I still don't carry any though.. :-\

Yes. I'm struggling a bit with the settings at the moment. I'm hoping the quality will improve.

Miles better than I could have done, but I guess you’d done thousands of pictures with old one...new one is bound to be a wee bit “strange” at first.

Same here :) Also carry dental floss and a semi circular upholstery needle. O0

I also carry string to hold my trousers up or use as laces. Carrier bags to sit on or use to cover my head.

Happened to me just outside Cormayeur when I was hiking the Tour du Mont bland. I managed to find a bit of wire when held it until I got into town. I then bought a tube of Superglue. It worked and I was able to hike on to finish the walk. Could never feel confident about them again so bought a new pair, they leaked!

You don't want any Freudian slips on the mountain, that's why your boots are your most important piece of equipment.
