First Heavy Snow of the Year
« on: 17:08:54, 21/11/18 »
With the recent very cold snap here in North Wales, the first serious snow of the winter has arrived.
Visited Gaerwen on Anglesey, and Snowdon in particular, has some very heavy snow on most of its slopes.
Right from Penmaenmawr to Bangor, there is good layers of snow above 2000ft.

Thanks for the update, I thought it would be only a thin scattering at this stage. Tackling Snowdon itself by any route in serious snow and ice is beyond us at this late stage, it's been a really long time since the days of step-in crampons, front-pointing and ice axes!.

Didn't see any snow on Exmoor - mind you the visibility was between 100 and 200 yds for pretty much the entire trip so it might have been there somewhere.
