Hi guys,

I'm sure most of you will find this very easy but as I've only had one visit to the Lake District, I need your help please.

The below image shows a view from the top of Catbells (no it doesn't, it shows the view from the top of Haystacks, stupid error pointed out by Lakeland Lorry!), can someone tell me which mountain we're looking at?

Cheers

Mes.

The image is actually a view taken from the summit of Haystacks looking across to High Crag, and isn't taken from Catbells.

OMG!

I have NO idea why I wrote Catbells. I knew it was Haystacks and I remember the climb SO well, I'd even named the file as such.

I offer no reason for my stupidty.

So, High Crag, thanks very much LL! Have a great day.

This confused me when I saw it as my memory was telling me that the only hill connected to Catbells would be Maiden Moor and then High Spy and the hill in the photo looked nothing like them.

The small tarn and the lakes in the background also threw me

No worries.   We all do daft things now and again.   Great photo.  :-)

Apologies! I'd just been looking at my images from Catbells, that's my only excuse. That this was taken two days previous and came from a completely different set of images didn't make my brain work any better!

I've edited the thread title to avoid any further confusion!

Ha! I do daf things all the time but please don't tell anyone!

Thanks mate. I know it's a bit of a showbiz location but it genuinely was one of my very favourite walks I've ever done. And my wife's first walk that included anything like a scramble. She loved it.
