Still catching up on our summer hikes here in NSW. You'll probably be surprised to hear that the summer holidays were almost a complete washout - luckily I used one of the sunny days wisely

Maitland Beach looks gorgeous.
And I have come across rock formations in Orkney very much like your tessellated pavement.

I'd never seen it before - I think they are a predominantly coastal feature. Seems some of the very best in the world can be found in Tasmania
