Had a couple of good ones recently John (see pics in photography section) and enjoyed the snow, toe joint feels like it's full of gravel but not much pain at the moment  O0

Enjoyed your blog - great pics and narrative - when I went to Brown Knoll it was bog all around trig - you would have thought it would be easier when frozen over but seems not!

Last time I was up in Peak District last November did a great walk along Rush - up edge and then on Pennine Bridleway toward Mount Famine - cut across moor to Edale Cross track and return via Jacobs ladder , and vale of Edale. Great walk! Your blog brought back memories.

Really enjoyed reading this and, as people have said, the photos are great too. Blimey, it looks bleak up there though - and probably feels it too with a boot or two full of bog!

Thanks for sharing the link, looking forward to reading more on your blog in the future - the Peak District is one of our favourite walking areas.

Thanks for an interesting read and great photos John.
I know the area very well, but always avoid Brown Knoll when its been excessively wet, because I've had to turn back a few times in the past.
I walked it last summer after a period of dry weather and it was completely different, with the birds singing and the sun beating down.
Look forward to your next blog.

Thanks Rob, the theory was the ground would be hard from sub zero temperatures but we were wrong.
It's one for a dry spell as you did Rob, yeah your day out sounded a little more relaxing than ours, birds singing etc, but it was still a good day out and I do love a challenging day too 👍
