Lost walker - please help
« on: 13:04:08, 24/05/07 »
I'm not sure if you've heard but a young man has gone missing from the Isle of Lewis - niall iain macdonald. He was due at work on Monday but hasn't said where he was going. We are very concerned as to his welfare and trying to figure out where he might have gone. at the moment there has been a sighting between oban and campbeltown, we also know that he may have gone to ardnamurchan , moidart. its likely that he has gone on a long walk and is carrying kit, camping each night. he did a walk for about 5 days last year, possibly in north west of scotland and really enjoyed this - we're considering he might have done this walk again... but we dont know where it is. we think it was a ridge at glen shiel and have attached an image...

it would also be good if you are walking in west scotland then could you keep an eye out for a 6ft1 man, with blonde hair, blue eyes, possibly wearng a navy hat with NY on the front and a black / blue anorak. he has also has a fishing rod with him - so he might be sitting next to a river somewhere with that.

please please get in touch if you see this man as its likely he doesn't know that people are so concerned - but the police are looking and there has been coverage in the papers... here is a link to a picture and story
