Title: Hello from a walking newbie
Post by: micmac on 09:30:36, 29/08/17
I am a newbie to walking. I started because it helps my daughter with a medical problem she has. We started just by walking about a mile. We have upped it to just over 5 miles now, try and do that twice a week, and wanting to go further and do some decent walks. We are both really enjoying it but can struggle to get out some days as we have a lot of animals to do each day but we do try to get out and do the 4 mile walk most days with the odd longer one.
At the moment we are getting some boots to walk in as trainers are no good for the longer walks we want to do.
I have no doubt i will be picking your brains on some things as we get going.

Welcome from an old walker in South West London. In my experience walking is great for health and can bring lots of new interests. I'm sure you'll find the same  :)

Best wishes

Thankyou for the very warm welcome. Looking forward to getting to know you all and get going with the walking, it is certainly helping with the weight loss  :) .
