Had a lovely day in the snow with Mist my collie in the Langdales. We walked up Mickleden and then cut back over the higher land to Pike O'Stickle and Loft Crag. All good stuff but have a look at the photos
here It was a sunny day which always helps, although descending in the dusk literally on top of the New Dungeon Ghyll I was astonished to find Stickle Barn closed and no-one available to serve me in the Walkers Bar. Getting in the car and returning to Wainwrights took the shine off it a bit
