Hello,
I also run D of E at my school (in Derby)
Do you by any chance still have a copy of the routes that you planned Noel?
I would be very interested as I am in the process of trying to find a new route for our 2 day expedition.
Thank you
Alex

No idea whereabouts Wetton is, but recently stayed at the Roaches bunkhouse and there were numerous DofE groups camping just up the road from there, so might be somewhere useful to you.

Isn't the campsite closed?  Was last time I went through.  The farm looked empty?.

Having just made some phone calls, sadly the owner passed away, so it is now closed.
I have had a llo and there are 2 alternitive campsites, Mill Farm at Thorpe (near the enterence to Dovedale car park) or at he top end, Holme end.
Any experience of these sites?

Hi Alex.  If you have a look at the Leaden Boot Challenge website (leadenboot.org.uk) you will find a link to our route description.  Although ii is a marathon length route, it can be spilt into smaller sections and linking it to wherever you are staying.  The LBC route has several campsites nearby, some of which are used for DoE.  Get back to me if you need further assistance.

There's quite a lot of campsites in the White Peak used for DoE. The one that comes my notice is Mandale Farm, a mile or so east of Monyash.

But I'm sure there's quite a few more with equally good recommendations.
