I am planning a 10 day walk down in Devon / Dorset on the South West Coastal path with a very keen walker mate from Oz, but I am confused about the Weymouth section. We are planning to stay at Abbotsbury one night, then either cut north to the inland route to get to Osmington Mills the next night, or stay on the coast and go through Weymouth to Osmington. Which would be the more challenging route? I don't think there is much in it distance-wise. We are not doing the Isle of POrtland; time does not allow.
