Monte Baldo Italy
« on: 18:05:10, 18/09/16 »
I have just came back from Italy .
I took cable car from Malcesine , to Monte baldo range and  walked to  cima delle pozzette 2132 m . On the way i passed an area with what must have been a couple of hundred very small white cairns.
Does anyone know the meaning /significance of these . If there is one  ??

I was there in late May and turning left out of the cable car station ended up doing a very short walk up to the panorama view point. It was blisteringly hot down in the town but bitterly cold up at the top, with ice/snow in patches.
Spent that long watching the paragliders launching themselves that our walk ended up shorter than expected. Didn't come across the cairns but would be interesting to know their significance.

Only a hill but all of life to me, up there between the sunset and the sea.

Way too late to be of significance, but I just found this photo taken by Mrs I .....

And the view north from the plateau ....
