After a lovely stop with Colin and Joyce at Byrness on Wednesday and overnighting at the hen hole hut I'm now drinking tea in the Border Hotel.  Lovely day on the Cheviots yesterday although a bit wet this morning.

Very very dry up there though in complete contrast to when I did it last time when many of the slabbed paths were inches deep in water.
Congratulations and well done

We booked in January for the Malham to Middleton in Teesdale section which we completed on 2 June 2017. We had a twin room though. Used YHA at Malham and Hawes, Women's Holiday Centre at Horton in Ribblesdale (only available to women and children though), Bunkbarn at Park Farm in Keld (there was a chap on his own walking the Heriot Way staying there), and twin rooms at Ancient Unicorn in Bowes and Old Barn B&B in Middleton.

Looks like we might have to book earlier for next sections.

Well done to Sussamb

Hardly any.  In fact even the Cheviots were so dry you could walk over most of the boggy bits  O0

Happy Days :). As long as it doesn't pour down for the next two months it should be fun. May even stroll over Padon Hill and Sleightholme this time!
