West Highland Way questions
« on: 23:12:18, 22/10/16 »
I will be doing the West Highland Way in early May next year. I'll do it over eight days so I can walk at a relaxed pace.

I plan on camping most nights but booking accommodation for a couple of nights along the way, preferably in places where there are shops that sell camping food so I can stock up as I go along. Where would you suggest that I book accommodation? I have the Cicerone guidebook on the WHW but it does not seem to have much information on towns and villages along the route. I've never been to Scotland before so the route is completely new to me.

Ok, I know it sounds like self promotion but this link is to a page on my website with some info about shops on the West Highland Way, hope it helps a little.

P.S. The order of shops was North to South as that's the way I did it last time.

I found this to be useful. If you have an Android smartphone you can download an app for both the West Highland Way and the Cotswold Way.
