Scrambling the Glyders on Sunday
« on: 11:20:02, 05/05/17 »
Anyone fancy joining me for a day scrambling the Glyders on Sunday with an EARLY 3am start?

Am planning something along the lines of scramble up Tryfan West face in the dark aiming to reach the summit before sunrise (sunrise is due at 5:26am and last time I did this it took just under 2 hours to reach the summit in the dark hence the early start). Enjoy the sunrise between Adam and Eve (or dawn on the the top of Tryfan if its cloudy).
Then (in the daylight) up Bristly Ridge, up over Glyder Fach and down Y Gribin to Llyn Bochlwyd. Up to Bwlch Tryfan, along the heather terrace path then up probably Little and North Gully on the East face of Tryfan to the top and descend back to the cars via the North face route. Route subject to change on the day, loads of opportunity to shorten or lengthen the walk to suit but the above is 8km, 5 miles and 1250m height gain/loss.
If anyone wants to come and has a climbing harness all the better as we would then have the option of doing some higher grade scrambling.
