Garmin Basecamp Question
« on: 16:31:51, 05/06/17 »
Whist planning walks in Garmin Basecamp using the OS 1:50 map. I am planning some in the Lake District and would like to use 1:25 map. I can get the higher details map from Garmin for £45, but is there another way around this where I can plan routes and then import into Basecamp if I wanted to to save my buying the additional map?

Thanks

There are numerous web based sites where you can plan routes on 25K maps, create a gpx file and then import that into BaseCamp should you wish or just send to your GPS.
Where there's a will ...

Walk the Highlands has 1: 25 mapping where you create a box file and export it. Don't be put off by the name as it has full UK coverage for the maps
These boots are made for walking.... so long as the rest of my body agrees
