Cumbria Way.

Hello there.

Doing the Cumbria Way first week in July. Over 5 days. From North to South.


Day 1: Walk to Caldbeck : 16m
Day 2: Walk to Keswick: 13m
Day 3: Walk to Great Langdale 16m
Day 4: Walk to Coniston 16m
Day 5: Walk to Ulverston 15m

Looking for some wild camping spots in the area of the spots listed above. Any ideas or spots you know off would be great.

I did the Cumbria Way last year in the opposite direction and enjoyed it. Can't help you with wild camping spots as I stayed at Youth Hostels along the way at Coniston, Borrowdale and Skiddaw House, all which allow camping. There's also a bunkhouse in Caldbeck that can be booked online.

Ok thanks. Right now I have found campsites to stay if I can find any wild camping spots. I know in Great Langdale I can wild camp next to Stickle Tarn. Just looking for spots anyone might now near/around the other stops I have listed.

Late report, but better than never.

I finished the walk. It was a great walk up until the last day. Rained all day. Got lost a few times, Fell twice, met a bull almost face to face, walked in cow poo and disappointed at the end. Wish I would have walked into Carlisle. Lake district was what you imagine. Great place to be.
