Following on from yesterday's report, please see photos of the second half of Sunday's walk from Langdale to Grasmere. After descending Bright Beck I took in Blea Rigg. I took a short detour in the direction of Elterwater while traversing the broad ridge. It was the best detour I've ever made as views opened up of Great Langdale encompassed by Lakeland giants of the Crinkles, Langdale Pikes and Bowfell. Great Langdale is my favourite Lakeland valley. After admiring the views I returned to the path to continue onto Silver How. The main highlight was the double lake panorama of Rydal and Grasmere Lake. Dropping down to Grasmere I caught the 555 service back to Keswick with 5 minutes to spare.

Another set of cracking pictures!  O0  I really like how the valley is illuminated by the sun and that's a lovely one of Stickle Tarn.

Absolutely great stuff Henry.  O0

I'll be following in your footsteps in a few weeks time. I had planned a circular walk from ODG but I like the idea of finishing in Grasmere.
Thanks for the idea.

Thanks for the feedback folks :)  It has been the first trip this year where I've had sunny days. Penygadair - Grasmere is my favourite Lakeland village and the route means each summit is of a lesser height than the previous one. When approaching Silver How from Blea Rigg the double lake view opens up dramatically when the summit is gained O0

More lovely photos Henry, well done  O0

I'd have missed the bus through spending too long looking at the views! Was there a later bus?  ;D

Thanks Welsh Rambler, yes there was a later bus but I would have had to wait an extra hour had I missed the 1645 connection. Think next time I'm in Keswick I'll climb Skiddaw, that way I'll not need to worry about getting any connection ;D
