Meets section? Where has it gone?

I now think Ive found it. It seems to suggest that forum members now have to request 'membership'? Is this correct?

If so, whats it purpose? At a personal level I would not join anything where I have to justify myself so I'll just leave the subject alone and hike on in my own way.

Ever since I've been on the forum the Meets board has been accessed by request only.  Perhaps log on as youradvocate - if you had access then, then you should be able to see it

To clarify, do you mean that there is a difference between the 'Meets Board' and when an actual Meet is being organised? If so I can live with that. If a meet is being organised where would forum members find out about it?

The "Meet Ups Board" is still there gunwharfman.  It's underneath the "News and Articles Board" and above the "Long Distance Walks Board".


Can you not see the board, despite being logged in?    (even if you don't have permissions to view its actual content?)

I've looked but can't see anything entitled Meets? I have 'News and Articles' and Long distance Walks'  but nothing in between. I'll have a good look at the site later.

I haven't got it either.
Perhaps it's only there if you have asked to join it.  I am sure there used to be somewhere where you could ask to join it but I can't find it at the moment.

Posted too soon, I've found it.  Click on General Walking discussion, and it's near the top, think it's the third thing down.
