What did you think to St Aidans pleb?

I'm down that way a couple of time a month and week before last went on the RSPB guided dusk tour of St Aidans. Interesting and informative and another example of old industrial sites being turned into nature reserves.

Interesting about the kites cos i use the canal path (Woodlesford/Lemonroyd) for a run out when there and thought I saw a kite or two across by St Aidans. Also wonder of it was the same kingfisher we stood and watched for ages - definitely not shy, kept turning round to have a look at who was there but we didn't see it catch a fish.

I like the place. I have only been to the centre/car park once, usually park near Woodlesford and do a (free) circuit from there, cutting across the middle o the wetlands area.
Its deffo more interesting than in the years before they made the reserve, used to be just a canalside wonder around there.
