Newbie from Derbyshire
« on: 17:49:37, 05/06/18 »
Hi people, I'm a forty something mud trudger about to embark ( in 48 hours ) on my first PW trek.  I keep questioning my sanity and reasoning for it but the pink and blue spotty bears are clouding my judgment!!  I've set out a 15 day itinerary with two easy days incorporated , camping and carrying my gear and doing it solo.  It's the 1st multi day/long distance I've done, mainly just done overnighters of 50ish miles around the dark peak area wreck spotting.  However I have been building stamina, endurance over the last two years in the gym and local 10k runs.  The PW is something I've been wanting to do for the last 25 years but never got around to it through injuries and ailments .

Hi people, all good so far.
Weather has been so hot though today and underestimated my water, that'll be resolved tomorrow if this heat holds up. I was flagging on the descent into crowden.
Started at 10:30 this morning, after a nice breakfast at coopers cafe. Pitched up by seven but spent an hour and half on bleaklow just taking in the airplane wrecks. 18 miles tomorrow up to white house inn, with more water !!!
