Well, I thought I would give myself a quick intro as I didn't find a dedicated area in the forum. I have loved nature all of my life, and of course the best way of seeing and being part of nature is walking! I am an instructor for Greenman Bushcraft, I do the Wild Food mainly, which quite often involves miles of walking!

I look forward to chatting.

cheers
Kris

Welcome BC.

The hawk moth is a very good shot - http://www.walkingforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,1851.msg10723/topicseen.html#msg10723 [nofollow]

Thank you for thr welcome :) I have quite a few Hummingbird Hawkmoth shots, tricky to get a clean one of them though, quite a lot of luck is most helpful lol. Here is another one of him [nofollow]

Cheers
Kris

Yes, welcome to the group - which is the friendliest forum I've been in. Not so good capturing wild shots myself - the blighters always seem to fly away while I am getting the camera out. These are my best efforts, pretty feeble (what is the bird?)

A chaffinch I do believe . . . .

Oh, and Hi Kris ! ! ! !
I'm fairly new here myself, but I have to say they do seem a nice friendly bunch  :)

Oh, and the Heron picture. My pal Steve, a veteran of walking thought it was plastic.....so still.......until it flew off that is which convinced him it was real!

That pic of the chaffinch - I actually did a double take when I first looked at it - I could have sworn he was wearing sunglasses ! !

I've just found these I snapped last winter in the Strid. Much better.
